South Shore Savings Bank presents donation to Neighborhood Housing Services
South Shore Savings Bank President and Chief Executive Officer John C. Boucher (right) presents a donation of $5,000 from the South Shore Savings Charitable Foundation to Normand Grenier, President of Neighborhood Housing Services of the South Shore, to support the organization’s mission of creating housing opportunities by educating and assisting first-time home buyers to purchase their own homes, developing affordable housing for those in need, and making home rehabilitation loans.
The check presentation tookplace at a Neighborhood Housing Services development for homeless families at 706 Main Street in Weymouth. The Town of Weymouth is receiving the John A. Sasso National Community Development Award for this development, which is being financed by the Bank. Last September, the South Shore Savings Charitable Foundation donated $10,000 raised by the Bank’s annual Charity Golf Classic tournament to Neighborhood Housing Services toward the purchase of furniture for this development.
