South Shore Savings Bank Norwell Branch to Host Safety Day
SOUTH SHORE SAVINGS BANK NORWELL BRANCH TO HOST “SAFETY DAY”
South Weymouth – South Shore Savings Bank’s branch office at 400 Washington Street in Norwell will host a “Safety Day” on Saturday, September 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with the Norwell Police Department. During the event, parents can have children who are over 2 years old photographed and fingerprinted by the EZ Child ID System, which prints out an ID card, ID form and CD containing the child’s information that will be given to the parent free of charge. Giveaways and refreshments also will be available.
South Shore Savings Bank donated $500 in 2008 to the Norwell Police Union towards the purchase of the EZ Child ID System, which captures all the vital information required by the Amber Alert system in digital format, including video with voice. The EZ Child ID Kit includes contact information, fingerprints and photographs. The EZ Child ID software was written so that no information of the child is saved on the computer; the parent is the only person who retains the data.
Originally chartered in 1833, South Shore Savings Bank is a full-service community bank with assets of approximately $950 million and 15 branches. All deposits are insured in full. The FDIC insures all deposits up to $250,000 per depositor and up to $250,000 per depositor for Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs); all deposits above this amount are insured by the Depositors Insurance Fund (DIF).
