Weymouth, Mass., July 27, 2009 – SCORE, counselors to America’s Small Business, is offering local entrepreneurs the opportunity to learn about launching a new business through its workshop, "Live Your Dream, Starting Your Own Business." The workshop addresses the key issues new small business owners face and provides practical advice that entrepreneurs can put to use immediately.

"Starting a new business in today’s economy can be a challenging task, but with the right financing, a sound business plan, and a good marketing plan, you have an excellent chance for success," said Frank Roche, SCORE counselor. "We put together this workshop to help qualified entrepreneurs benefit from the real world experiences of SCORE counselors."

SCORE’s volunteer business counselors serve their communities through entrepreneurial education dedicated to the formation, growth, and success of small businesses. Since 1964, SCORE has aided more than 8 million aspiring entrepreneurs and small business owners through counseling and business workshops. Each year, SCORE counselors advise thousands of small business clients.

Sponsored by the South Shore Savings Bank, the "Live Your Dream, Starting Your Own Business" workshop will take place on September 3, 5:30 – 8:30 at the Weymouth Public Library.
